मन्थानो बहुलो वायु: सकल: सर्वलोचन: । तलस्ताल: करस्थाली ऊर्ध्वसंहननो महान्
manthāno bahulo vāyuḥ sakalaḥ sarvalocanaḥ | talastālaḥ karasthālī ūrdhvasaṃhanano mahān ||
वायु-देव ने कहा—वह मन्थन करने वाला प्रचण्ड वायु-स्वरूप है, जो जगत् को मथ डालने में समर्थ है; समस्त कलाओं से युक्त, सर्वद्रष्टा है। वह अपने ही कर-तल से ताल देता है, अपने हाथों को ही पात्र बनाकर भोजन करता है; ऊर्ध्व, सुदृढ़ और सघन देह वाला है; और निश्चय ही महान् है।
