Mahabharata — Anushasana Parva, Shloka 16
न तेषां भिद्यते वृत्तं यज्ञा: स्वाध्यायकर्म च । आचार: कारणं चैव धर्मश्वैकस्त्रयं पुन:
na teṣāṁ bhidyate vṛttaṁ yajñāḥ svādhyāya-karma ca | ācāraḥ kāraṇaṁ caiva dharmaś caikaḥ trayaṁ punaḥ ||
ऐसे संतों की जीवन-रीति कभी खंडित नहीं होती; न उनके यज्ञ, न स्वाध्याय, न अन्य शुभ कर्मों में बाधा आती है। उनमें आचार, उसे बताने वाले वेद-शास्त्र और धर्म—ये तीनों परस्पर विरोधी नहीं होते; एक ही सामंजस्य में स्थित रहते हैं।
