प्रथमो होष देवानां मुखादग्निमजीजनत् । ग्रहैर्बहुविधै: प्राणान् संरुद्धानुत्सूजत्यपि
prathamo hi sa devānāṁ mukhād agnim ajījanat | grahair bahuvidhaiḥ prāṇān saṁruddhān utsṛjati api ||
वायु ने कहा—वे देवताओं में अग्रणी हैं; उन्होंने अपने मुख से अग्नि को उत्पन्न किया। नाना प्रकार की ग्रह-बाधाओं से जिनके प्राण संकुचित हो जाते हैं, उन्हें भी वे मुक्त कर देते हैं और दुःख से छुटकारा दिलाते हैं।
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights a deity’s supreme, beneficent power: he is both a cosmic creator (bringing forth Agni) and a compassionate protector who frees afflicted beings from suffering, restoring their prāṇa and well-being.
Vāyu-deva is praising or describing a foremost divine figure, stating that this god produced Agni from his mouth and also liberates living beings whose life-force is oppressed by various graha-related afflictions.
