येषां वृद्धश्न बालश्न सर्व: सम्मानमरहति । तपोविद्याविशेषात्तु मानयन्ति परस्परम्‌

Transliteration

yeṣāṁ vṛddhaśna bālaśna sarvaḥ sammānam arhati | tapovidyāviśeṣāt tu mānayanti parasparam ||

Translation

ब्राह्मणों में चाहे कोई वृद्ध हो या बालक—सभी सम्मान के योग्य हैं; परन्तु वे आपस में तप और विद्या की विशेषता देखकर एक-दूसरे का अधिक मान करते हैं।
