Shloka 43

ओजस्तेजोद्युतिधर: प्रकाशात्मा प्रतापन: । ऋद्धः स्पष्टाक्षरो मन्त्रश्नन्द्रांशुर्भास्करद्युति:

ojastejodyutidharaḥ prakāśātmā pratāpanaḥ | ṛddhaḥ spaṣṭākṣaro mantraś candrāṁśur bhāskaradyutiḥ ||

भीष्म ने कहा—वह ओज, तेज और द्युति का धारक है; प्रकाश ही उसका आत्मस्वरूप है; वह अपनी विभूतियों से तपाता और संयमित करता है। वह ऋद्ध है—धर्म, ज्ञान और वैराग्य से सम्पन्न; उसका अक्षर स्पष्ट है—प्रकट ओंकार; वह वेद-मन्त्रस्वरूप है; वह चन्द्रकिरणों के समान संसारताप से दग्ध चित्तों को शीतल करता है; और सूर्य के समान प्रकाशमान है।
