स शूद्र: संशिततपा: सत्यवादी जितेन्द्रिय: । शुश्रूषुरतिथिं प्राप्त तप: संचिनुते महत्
sa śūdraḥ saṃśitatapāḥ satyavādī jitendriyaḥ | śuśrūṣur atithiṃ prāptaṃ tapaḥ saṃcinute mahat ||
वह शूद्र—जो तप में संयमी, सत्यवादी और जितेन्द्रिय है—घर आए अतिथि की शुश्रूषा करके महान् तप का संचय करता है। उसके लिए सेवा-रूप धर्म ही कठोर तप कहलाता है।
