वाणिज्यं सत्पथस्थानमातिथ्यं प्रशमो दम: । विप्राणां स्वागतं त्यागो वैश्यधर्म: सनातन:
vāṇijyaṁ satpathasthānam ātithyaṁ praśamo damaḥ | viprāṇāṁ svāgataṁ tyāgo vaiśyadharmaḥ sanātanaḥ ||
श्री महेश्वर बोले—सत्पथ पर स्थित व्यापार, अतिथि-सत्कार, शम और दम, ब्राह्मणों का स्वागत-सम्मान तथा त्याग—यही वैश्य का सनातन धर्म है।
