विभूषितं पुण्यपवित्रतोयया सदा च जुष्टं नृप जह्लुकन्यया । विभूषितं धर्मभृतां वरिष्ठै- महात्मभिव॑द्लिसमानकल्पै:

Transliteration

vibhūṣitaṃ puṇyapavitratoyayā sadā ca juṣṭaṃ nṛpa jahlukanyayā | vibhūṣitaṃ dharmabhṛtāṃ variṣṭhair mahātmabhir adlisamānakalpaiḥ ||

Translation

वासुदेव बोले—नरेश्वर! वह स्थान पुण्य और पवित्र जल से विभूषित था और जह्नु की कन्या जाह्नवी मानो प्रेमपूर्वक उसका सेवन करती हुई सदा वहाँ आती-जाती थी। धर्म के धारकों में श्रेष्ठ, अग्नि के समान तेजस्वी अनेक महात्माओं से भी वह आश्रम-प्रदेश सुशोभित था। इस प्रकार पुण्यसलिला जाह्नवी उस पावन क्षेत्र की शोभा निरन्तर बढ़ाती रहती थी।
