Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
ऋषिगन्धर्वरूपश्व सिद्धचारणरूपधृक् । भस्मपाण्ड्रगात्रश्न चन्द्रार्थकृतभूषण:
ṛṣigandharvarūpaś ca siddhacāraṇarūpadhṛk | bhasmapāṇḍragātraś ca candrārdhakṛtabhūṣaṇaḥ ||
वासुदेव बोले—वे ऋषि और गन्धर्व के रूप धारण करते हैं तथा सिद्ध और चारणों के भी रूप धारण करते हैं। भस्म-लेपन से उनका समस्त शरीर धवल-सा दीखता है और वे ललाट पर अर्धचन्द्र का आभूषण धारण करते हैं।
