पुत्रा: प्रदेया ज्ञानेषु कुलधर्मेषु भारत । भारत! उसके गर्भसे संतान उत्पन्न करके वंश-परम्पराको प्रतिष्ठित करे और ज्ञान तथा कुलधर्मकी शिक्षा पानेके लिये पुत्रोंको गुरुके आश्रममें भेज दे ।।
putrāḥ pradeyā jñāneṣu kuladharmeṣu bhārata | kanyā cotpādya dātavyā kulaputrāya dhīmate ||
हे भारत! पुत्रों को ज्ञान और कुलधर्म की शिक्षा के लिए गुरु के आश्रम में सौंप देना चाहिए; और कन्या उत्पन्न हो तो उसे उत्तम कुल के बुद्धिमान योग्य युवक को विवाह में देना चाहिए।
