Garuḍa’s Breach of the Amṛta-Guard and Boons with Viṣṇu; Encounter with Indra (Ādi-parva, Adhyāya 29)
तमुवाच खगश्रेष्ठ तत्र रोहिणपादप: । अतिप्रवृद्ध: सुमहानापतन्तं मनोजवम्,वहीं एक बहुत बड़ा विशाल वटवृक्ष था। उसने मनके समान तीव्र-वेगसे आते हुए पक्षियोंके सरदार गरुडसे कहा
tam uvāca khagaśreṣṭha tatra rohiṇapādapaḥ | atipravṛddhaḥ sumahān āpatantaṃ manojavam ||
वहीं रोहिण नाम का एक अत्यन्त विशाल, बहुत बढ़ा-चढ़ा वृक्ष था। मन के समान तीव्र वेग से झपटते हुए पक्षिश्रेष्ठ गरुड़ को देखकर उसने उनसे कहा।
