रुरुधुश्चापरास्तत्र प्रजघ्नुश्न परस्परम् । मन्त्रयामासुरन्याश्व॒ रहस्यानि परस्परम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | rurudhuś cāparās tatra prajaghnuś ca parasparam | mantrayāmāsur anyāś ca rahasyāni parasparam ||
वैशम्पायन बोले— वहाँ कुछ स्त्रियाँ एक-दूसरी को पकड़कर रोकने लगीं और खेल-खेल में एक-दूसरी पर हल्के प्रहार करने लगीं; तथा कुछ अन्य स्त्रियाँ एकान्त में बैठकर आपस में गुप्त बातें करने लगीं।
