जन्मप्रभृति कृष्णश्व चक्रे तस्य क्रिया: शुभा: । स चापि ववृधे बाल: शुक्लपक्षे यथा शशी,श्रीकृष्णने जन्मसे ही उसके लालन-पालनकी सुन्दर व्यवस्थाएँ की थीं। बालक अभिमन्यु शुक्लपक्षके चन्द्रमाकी भाँति दिनोंदिन बढ़ने लगा
janmaprabhṛti kṛṣṇaśva cakre tasya kriyāḥ śubhāḥ | sa cāpi vavṛdhe bālaḥ śuklapakṣe yathā śaśī ||
वैशम्पायन बोले—जन्म से ही कृष्णश्व ने उसके लिए शुभ संस्कारों और पालन-पोषण की उत्तम व्यवस्था की; और वह बालक अभिमन्यु शुक्लपक्ष के चन्द्रमा की भाँति दिन-दिन बढ़ने लगा।
