सो5वमन्य तथास्माकमनादृत्य च केशवम् | प्रसहा हृतवानद्य सुभद्रां मृत्युमात्मन:,“उसने हमलोगोंका अपमान और केशवका अनादर करके आज बलपूर्वक सुभद्राका अपहरण किया है, जो उसके लिये अपनी मृत्युके समान है
so’vamanya tathāsmākam anādṛtya ca keśavam | prasahā hṛtavān adya subhadrāṃ mṛtyum ātmanaḥ ||
वैशम्पायन बोले—उसने हमारा अपमान किया और केशव का अनादर करके आज बलपूर्वक सुभद्रा का अपहरण कर लिया है; यह कर्म उसके लिए मानो अपनी ही मृत्यु को बुलाना है।
