चन्द्रादित्यौ ग्रहास्तारा नक्षत्राणि दिवौकस: । जम्मुर्विषादं तत् कर्म दृष्टवा सुन्दोपसुन्दयो:,सुन्द और उपसुन्दका वह भयानक कर्म देखकर चन्द्रमा, सूर्य, ग्रह, तारे, नक्षत्र और देवता सभी अत्यन्त खिन्न हो उठे
candradityau grahās tārā nakṣatrāṇi divaukasaḥ | jajñur viṣādaṃ tat karma dṛṣṭvā sundopasundayoḥ ||
नारद ने कहा—सुन्द और उपसुन्द के उस भयानक कर्म को देखकर चन्द्रमा, सूर्य, ग्रह, तारे, नक्षत्र और स्वर्गवासी देवता तक गहन विषाद में डूब गए।
