ततः संवर्धयामास संस्कारैश्वाप्पपोजयत्‌ । प्रातीपेयो नरश्रेष्ठो मिथुनं गौतमस्य तत्‌

Transliteration

tataḥ saṃvardhayāmāsa saṃskāraiś cāpy apūjayat | prātīpeyo naraśreṣṭho mithunaṃ gautamasya tat ||

Translation

वैशम्पायन बोले— इसके बाद प्रतीपवंशी नरश्रेष्ठ शन्तनु ने गौतम के उस युगल का पालन-पोषण किया और यथाकाल उन्हें संस्कारों से भी सम्पन्न कराया। उसने उन्हें शिक्षा, विनय और मर्यादा देकर पिता के समान उनका संरक्षण किया।
