वेदिमध्यात्समुद्भूता तस्मात्सायोनिजा स्मृता / कृष्णवर्णा यतस्तस्मात्सा कृष्णा भूतले स्मृता

वेदी के मध्य से प्रकट होने के कारण वह ‘सायोनिजा’ कही जाती है। और वर्ण से कृष्ण होने के कारण पृथ्वी पर वह ‘कृष्णा’ नाम से स्मरण की जाती है।
