स्वदारभोगे केवलां प्रीतिमेवं हरेरेवं सर्वदाहं करोति / स्तम्बास्त्रादीन्धारियिष्ये सदैव विष्णोः प्रीत्यर्थं नैव गात्रार्थमेव

svadārabhoge kevalāṃ prītimevaṃ harerevaṃ sarvadāhaṃ karoti / stambāstrādīndhāriyiṣye sadaiva viṣṇoḥ prītyarthaṃ naiva gātrārthameva

यदि कोई अपने ही पत्नी-भोग में ही प्रीति खोजे और कहे, ‘यह हरि-प्रेम है’, तो वह सदा दाह (अंतर्दाह) ही उत्पन्न करता है। इसलिए मैं सदा संयम और तप—जैसे देह को स्थिर रखना और कष्ट सहना—केवल विष्णु की प्रसन्नता के लिए करूँगा, देह के लिए मात्र नहीं।
