On the Causes/Means of Knowledge

वेदा ह्येते वेदयन्तीति देव तथा पुराणं भारतं पञ्चरात्रम् / क्रमादितो विचिन्त्य सा विष्णुगुणान्स्वयोग्यान्सदा विजानाति रमापि देवी

vedā hyete vedayantīti deva tathā purāṇaṃ bhārataṃ pañcarātram / kramādito vicintya sā viṣṇuguṇānsvayogyānsadā vijānāti ramāpi devī

हे देव! इन्हें वेद इसलिए कहा जाता है कि वे ज्ञान का प्रकाश करते हैं; वैसे ही पुराण, भारत (महाभारत) और पाञ्चरात्र भी। आरम्भ से उचित क्रम में उनका मनन करके देवी रमा (लक्ष्मी) भी अपनी योग्यता के अनुसार विष्णु के गुणों को सदा जानती हैं।
