लोभात्क्रोधः प्रभवति लोभाद्द्रोहः प्रवर्तते / लोभान्मोहश्च माया च मानो मत्सर एव च
lobhātkrodhaḥ prabhavati lobhāddrohaḥ pravartate / lobhānmohaśca māyā ca māno matsara eva ca
लोभ से क्रोध उत्पन्न होता है, लोभ से द्रोह प्रवृत्त होता है; लोभ से ही मोह, माया, मान और मत्सर भी होते हैं।
