dhīr dhṛti-rasalomā ca niyut sarpir ilāmbikā irāvatī svadhā dīkṣā rudrāṇyo rudra te striyaḥ
This verse lists Rudra’s consorts as Dhī, Dhṛti, Asalomā, Niyutsarpiḥ, Ilāmbikā, Irāvatī, Svadhā, and Dīkṣā.
In the creation narrative, Brahmā enumerates lineages and expansions so the unfolding of cosmic population and divine genealogies is clearly understood.
They remind a reader that the universe operates under divine order (dharma) and that even powerful cosmic functions proceed through regulated relationships and responsibilities.
