Transliteration

taṁ nāradaḥ priyatamo rikthādānām anuvrataḥ śuśrūṣamāṇaḥ śīlena praśrayeṇa damena ca

Translation

उन ब्रह्मा के अत्यन्त प्रिय उत्तराधिकारी पुत्र नारद, पिता की सेवा में तत्पर रहकर, शील, विनय और इन्द्रिय-निग्रह द्वारा पिता के आदेशों का कठोरता से पालन करते हैं।
