Transliteration

prāṇaś caiva mṛkaṇḍuś ca mārkaṇḍeyo mṛkaṇḍutaḥ tato vedaśirā jajñe prāṇasyāpi sutaṃ śṛṇu

Translation

એ વંશમાં પ્રાણ અને મૃકંડુ જન્મ્યા. મૃકંડુથી માર્કંડેય થયા; ત્યારબાદ વેદશિરા જન્મ્યો—હવે પ્રાણના પુત્રનું પણ વર્ણન સાંભળો.
