भूदेवी ससागराम्भःसप्तद्वीपा वसुन्धरा भूरादिचतुर्दशभुवनानामाधाराधेया प्रणवात्मिका भवति॥१७॥

IAST Transliteration

bhūdevī sasāgarāmbhaḥsaptadvīpā vasundharā bhūrādicaturdaśabhuvanānām ādhārādheyā praṇavātmikā bhavati ||17||

Translation

ભૂદેવી—સમુદ્રજળসহ સાત દ્વીપોને ધારણ કરનારી પૃથ્વી—વસુન્ધરા છે. ભૂથી આરંભતા ચૌદ ભુવનની તે આધાર પણ છે અને આધેય પણ; અને તે પ્રણવાત્મિકા (ઓંકારસ્વરૂપા) બને છે॥૧૭॥

Academic Translation

The Goddess Bhū—(as) the Earth, bearing the seven continents with the waters of the oceans—(is) Vasundharā; she is the support and the supported (i.e., the ground and what is grounded) of the fourteen worlds beginning with Bhū, and she becomes of the nature of Praṇava (Oṃ).
