Sukta 4.17
नू ष्टुत इन्द्र नू गृणान इषं जरित्रे नद्यो न पीपेः । अकारि ते हरिवो ब्रह्म नव्यं धिया स्याम रथ्यः सदासाः ॥
nū́ ṣṭutá indra nū́ gṛṇāńa íṣaṃ jaritré nádyò ná pīpeḥ | ákāri te harivo bráhma návyaṃ dhiyā́ syāma rathyàḥ sadā́sāḥ ||
હવે સ્તુત, હે ઇન્દ્ર, હવે ગાનથી આહ્વાનિત—જરિત્ર માટે ઇષ (પ્રેરણા/બળ)ને નદીઓ જેમ (પ્રવાહ) ફુલાવે તેમ તું વધાર. હે હરિવો (તામ્ર અશ્વોના સ્વામી), તારા માટે નવું બ્રહ્મ (મંત્ર-વચન) રચાયું છે; ધિયા (દૃષ્ટિ-મન)થી અમે રથ્ય (રથકર્મે યોગ્ય) બનીએ, સદા તારી સાથે આસનસ્થ રહીએ.
