Śrī Bhagavān (the Blessed Lord)
Concept: For one committed to brāhmaṇya (brahminical virtue), rash/violent action (sāhasa) is never appropriate—divine speech settles the debate.
Application: When distressed, avoid rash decisions; choose sattvic responses—seek counsel, pray, perform steady sādhana, and act with compassion.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Śrī Bhagavān appears in luminous form, seated on a lotus-throne, right hand raised in abhaya and teaching mudrā, as the scene below shows a brāhmaṇī and elders listening with relief. The earlier raging fire is now a small, controlled sacrificial flame, visually subordinated to the Lord’s calm radiance, signaling the triumph of non-violent dharma.","primary_figures":["Śrī Bhagavān (Vishnu/Nārāyaṇa as divine speaker)","brāhmaṇī","brāhmaṇa elders","Narottama (optional, as prior speaker)"],"setting":"Temple-like hall blending yajña-śālā and Vaikuṇṭha vision: lotus pillars, conch and discus motifs, a modest fire-altar below","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["sapphire blue","gold leaf","lotus white","emerald green","coral red"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Śrī Bhagavān as Nārāyaṇa on a lotus throne with śaṅkha-cakra-gadā-padma; gold leaf aura and ornate arch; below, attentive brāhmaṇas and a brāhmaṇī near a small yajña-kunda; rich reds/greens, gem-studded ornaments, strong devotional symmetry.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: Vishnu’s gentle, luminous descent in a cloud-like aureole; delicate faces and soft gradients; cool blues and whites with warm gold accents; a quiet assembly below; refined naturalism and lyrical calm.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, Vishnu with characteristic large eyes, bright yellow-red-green palette; conch and discus clearly iconized; the teaching gesture emphasized; the fire rendered as a small patterned motif of controlled flame.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central Vishnu-lotus composition with ornate floral borders; symmetrical attendants; conch/discus motifs repeated; deep blue background with gold highlights; lotus and vine patterns framing the ethical proclamation."}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["conch shell","temple bells","tanpura drone","soft chorus response","deep silence after the injunction"]}
Sandhi Resolution Notes: द्विजमुख्येन (समास); किंवा = किम् + वा; श्रीभगवानुवाच = श्रीभगवान् + उवाच; ब्राह्मण्यास्साहसम् = ब्राह्मण्याः + साहसम्; नैव = न + एव
It teaches that a person committed to brāhmaṇical virtues—restraint, calmness, and moral discipline—should never engage in rash or violent actions.
The speaker is “Śrī Bhagavān,” giving the statement authoritative weight as a direct moral injunction rather than a mere opinion of a human narrator.
It reinforces dharma as conduct aligned with one’s role and inner virtues: brāhmaṇa-dharma is marked by non-impulsiveness and ethical restraint, not साहस (reckless force).
