The Greatness of Puruṣottama
Aṣṭākṣarī Maṇḍala-Pūjā and Nyāsa
pradyumno hṛdaye pīto'niruddho mehane sthitaḥ | sarvāṃge sarvaśaktiśca caturvyūhārcito hariḥ || 16 ||
Narada (teaching the Sanatkumara brothers)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches inner worship (antar-yāga) by placing forms of Hari’s Caturvyūha within the body, turning the practitioner’s own limbs into a sacred field of meditation and surrender.
Bhakti here is practiced as constant remembrance: the devotee visualizes Pradyumna in the heart and Aniruddha in the generative center, recognizing Hari’s all-pervading śakti throughout the body as an object of worship.
The verse aligns most with ritual application (kalpa in practice) through nyāsa-like placement and mantra-based visualization, a disciplined method used in Vaiṣṇava worship traditions.
