તેના અંગસ્પર્શથી પીડિત અને ભયભીત થઈને તેમણે હાથ જોડીને કહ્યું - 'હે દેવદેવ! હે જગન્નાથ! હે ધર્મરાજ! દયા કરો.'
Narrator (Purana narrator describing the plea of the afflicted beings to Dharmaraja/Yama)

Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It shows the Purāṇic principle that when beings face the consequences of karma, sincere surrender (prāñjali—folded hands) and an appeal to Dharma itself is a turning point toward relief and right conduct.
Even though addressed to Dharmarāja, the prayer uses devotional epithets like “Deva-deva” and “Jagannātha,” indicating that heartfelt supplication and humility are central devotional gestures when one seeks protection and grace.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught here; the practical takeaway is dharma-śāstra ethics—actions have results (karma-phala), and repentance with respectful supplication is presented as the correct response.
