एष सर्वान्‌ महीपालान्‌ करदान्‌ समकारयत्‌ | वैश्यानिव महाभागो विवशान्‌ स्ववशानपि

Transliteration

arjuna uvāca | eṣa sarvān mahīpālān karadān samakārayat | vaiśyān iva mahābhāgo vivaśān svavaśān api |

Translation

આ મહાભાગ રાજાએ ધરતીના બધા રાજાઓને કરદ બનાવી દીધા; વૈશ્યોની જેમ, તેઓ સ્વેચ્છાએ હોય કે વિવશ થઈને, સૌને પોતાના વશમાં લઈ કર ચૂકવાવ્યા।
