Chapter 55
आस्थाय रुचिरं जिष्णो रथं सारथिना मया । कतमं यास्यसे5नीकमुक्तो यास्याम्यहं त्वया,विराटकुमार उत्तरने कौरव-सेनाको भागती और कुन्तीपुत्र अर्जुनको पुनः युद्धके लिये डटा हुआ देखकर उनका अभिप्राय समझकर यों कहा--'जिष्णो! मुझ सारथिके साथ इस सुन्दर रथपर बैठे हुए आप अब किस सेनाकी ओर जाना चाहते हैं? आप जहाँके लिये आज्ञा दें, वहीं आपके साथ चलूँ
āsthāya ruciraṃ jiṣṇo rathaṃ sārathinā mayā | katamaṃ yāsyase 'nīkam ukto yāsyāmy ahaṃ tvayā ||
વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા— ‘હે જિષ્ણુ! હું સારથી બની આ સુંદર રથ પર આરુઢ થઈ, હવે તું સેનાના કયા વિભાગ તરફ જવા ઇચ્છે છે? તું જ્યાં આજ્ઞા આપશે ત્યાં હું તારી સાથે જઈશ.’
