Draupadī on Action, Fate, and Human Effort
वाचयित्वा द्विजश्रेष्ठानद्यव गजसाह्दयम् । अस्त्रविद्धि: परिवृतो भ्रातृभिर्दृढ्धन्विभि:
vācayitvā dvijaśreṣṭhān adyaiva gajasāhdayam | astravid dhiḥ parivṛto bhrātṛbhir dṛḍhadhanvibhiḥ ||
વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા—શ્રેષ્ઠ બ્રાહ્મણો પાસે સ્વસ્તિવાચન કરાવી આજે જ હસ્તિનાપુર પર ચઢાઈ કરો. અમે બધા ભાઈઓ—અસ્ત્રવિદ્યામાં નિપુણ અને દૃઢ ધનુષ ધારણ કરનાર—તમને ઘેરીને આગળ વધશું; જેમ દેવતાઓથી ઘેરાયેલો વૃત્રહા ઇન્દ્ર અસુરસેનાઓ પર ભયંકર આક્રમણ કરે છે. હે મહાબલી કૌંતેય! ઇન્દ્ર જેમ પોતાના તેજથી દૈત્યોને ધૂળમાં મિલાવી દે છે, તેમ તમે પણ તમારા પ્રભાવથી શત્રુઓને ચકનાચૂર કરીને ધૃતરાષ્ટ્રપુત્ર દુર્યોધન પાસેથી તમારી રાજલક્ષ્મી ફરી મેળવી લો.
