भद्रवटगमनम् — स्कन्देन महिषदानवनिग्रहः

Bhadravaṭa Procession and Skanda’s Neutralization of Mahiṣa

बाहुभ्यामनुदात्तौ च विश्वे भूतानि चैव ह । एतान्‌ सृष्टवा ततः पठच पितृणामसृजत्‌ सुतान्‌

bāhubhyām anudāttau ca viśve bhūtāni caiva ha | etān sṛṣṭvā tataḥ paṭhaca pitṝṇām asṛjat sutān ||

માર્કંડેય બોલ્યા—તેણે બંને ભુજાઓમાંથી પ્રાકૃત અને વૈકૃત ભેદવાળા બંને અનુદાત્તો, મન અને જ્ઞાનેન્દ્રિયોના અધિષ્ઠાતા સર્વ દેવતાઓ તથા પાંચ મહાભૂતો ઉત્પન્ન કર્યા. આ બધું સર્જ્યા પછી તેણે પિતૃઓ માટે પણ પુત્રોને જન્મ આપ્યો.
