Pātāla-varṇana (Nārada’s Description of the Netherworld) / पातालवर्णनम्
बहून्यद्धुतरूपाणि द्रष्टव्यानीह मातले | तव कार्यावरो धस्तु तस्माद् गच्छाव मा चिरम्
bahūny adbhutarūpāṇi draṣṭavyānīha mātale | tava kāryāvarodhas tu tasmād gacchāva mā ciram, mātale ||
કણ્વે કહ્યું—હે માતલિ! આ વરુણલોકમાં જોવા યોગ્ય અનેક અદ્ભુત દૃશ્યો છે. પરંતુ બધું જોવા માટે વિલંબ થશે અને તારા કાર્યમાં અવરોધ પડશે; તેથી, હે માતલિ, વિલંબ કર્યા વિના ચાલો—નાગલોક તરફ પ્રસ્થાન કરીએ.
