Adhyāya 96: Nārada Guides Mātali in Varuṇa’s Realm
Varuṇa-loka Darśana
मुहूर्तमरणास्त्वन्ये मानुषा मृगपक्षिण: । तैर्यग्योन्याक्ष॒ ये चान्ये जीवलोकचरास्तथा
muhūrtamaraṇās tv anye mānuṣā mṛgapakṣiṇaḥ | tairyyagyonīyākṣā ye cānye jīvalokacarās tathā ||
કણ્વ બોલ્યા—કેટલાક તો એક મુહૂર્તમાં જ મરી જાય છે—માનવ, પશુ અને પક્ષી. તેમ જ તિર્યક્-યોનિમાં જન્મેલા અને જીવલોકમાં ફરતા અન્ય જીવો પણ એવી જ શીઘ્ર મૃત્યુને પામે છે.
