दैवं तु न मया शक्यं कर्म कर्तु कथंचन । मैं पुरुषार्थसे जितना हो सकता है
daivaṃ tu na mayā śakyaṃ karma kartuṃ kathaṃcana |
અર્જુને કહ્યું—દૈવવિધાનને હું કોઈ રીતે પણ કરી કે બદલી શકતો નથી. હું પુરુષાર્થથી જેટલું શક્ય હોય તેટલું સંધિ-સ્થાપન માટે સર્વાધિક પ્રયત્ન કરીશ; પરંતુ પ્રારબ્ધના આદેશને ટાળવો કે ફેરવવો મારા વશમાં નથી.
