पूर्व चाभिगतं सन््तो भजन्ते पूर्वसारिण: । त्वं च श्रेष्ठठमो लोके सतामद्य जनार्दन | सततं सम्मतश्वैव सद्वृत्तमनुपालय
pūrvaṃ cābhigataṃ santaḥ bhajante pūrvasāriṇaḥ | tvaṃ ca śreṣṭhatamo loke satām adya janārdana | satataṃ sammataś caiva sadvṛttam anupālaya ||
વૈશંપાયને કહ્યું—“સજ્જનો પૂર્વકાળથી સ્વીકૃત આચારનું જ માન રાખે છે; તેઓ પૂર્વજોએ બતાવેલા માર્ગે ચાલે છે. અને હે જનાર્દન! આજે તમે જગતમાં સત્પુરુષોમાં શ્રેષ્ઠતમ છો, સદા સન્માનિત. તેથી સતત સદાચારનું પાલન કરો.”
