स्थिता: शमे महात्मान: पाण्डवा धर्मचारिण: । योधा: समर्थास्तद् विद्वन्नाचक्षीथा यथातथम्,विद्वन् संजय! धर्मका आचरण करनेवाले महात्मा पाण्डव शान्तिके लिये भी तैयार हैं और युद्ध करनेमें भी समर्थ हैं। इन दोनों अवस्थाओंको समझकर तुम राजा धुृतराष्ट्रसे यथार्थ बातें कहना
sthitāḥ śame mahātmānaḥ pāṇḍavā dharmacāriṇaḥ | yodhāḥ samarthās tad vidvann ācakṣīthā yathātatham, vidvan sañjaya |
વાયુએ કહ્યું—ધર્માચરણ કરનારા મહાત્મા પાંડવો સંયમમાં સ્થિત છે અને શાંતિ માટે પણ તૈયાર છે; છતાં તેઓ સમર્થ યોધ્ધા છે. હે વિદ્વાન સંજય! આ બન્ને સ્થિતિ સમજીને રાજા ધૃતરાષ્ટ્રને વાત યથાર્થ રીતે કહેજે.
