यन्मे कन्यां स्वकन्यार्थे वृतवानसि दुर्मते । फलं तस्यावलेपस्य द्रक्ष्यस्यद्य न संशय:,और कहा--'दूत! मेरे कथनानुसार राजाओंमें अधम उस पांचालनरेशसे कहिये। दुर्मते! तुमने जो अपनी कन्याके लिये मेरी कनन््याका वरण किया था, उस घमंडका फल तुम्हें आज देखना पड़ेगा, इसमें संशय नहीं है”
yan me kanyāṁ svakanyārthe vṛtavān asi durmate | phalaṁ tasyāvalepasya drakṣyasy adya na saṁśayaḥ ||
“દુર્મતિ! તું તારી કન્યાના હિત માટે મારી કન્યાનું વરણ કર્યું હતું; તે અહંકારનું ફળ તું આજે નિશ્ચિત જ જોશે—એમાં સંશય નથી।”
