ररक्ष सा मां सरथं हयांशक्षोपस्कराणि च । तामहं प्राञ्जलि भूत्वा पुनरेव व्यसर्जयम्,माताने मेरे रथ, घोड़ों तथा अन्यान्य उपकरणोंकी रक्षा की। तब मैंने हाथ जोड़कर पुनः माताको विदा कर दिया
rarakṣa sā māṁ sa-rathaṁ hayān kṣopaskarāṇi ca | tām ahaṁ prāñjali bhūtvā punar eva vyasarjayam ||
તેણે મારા રથ, ઘોડાં તથા અન્ય ઉપકરણો સહિત મારી રક્ષા કરી. ત્યાર પછી મેં હાથ જોડીને વિનયપૂર્વક ફરીથી માતાને વિદાય આપી.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct through gratitude and humility: when one receives protection or service—especially from a revered elder figure—one responds with respectful acknowledgment (prāñjali) and proper, courteous leave-taking rather than entitlement.
Bhīṣma recounts that a maternal figure safeguarded him along with his chariot, horses, and gear. After being thus protected, he folds his hands in reverence and then sends her off again, indicating respectful closure after receiving her aid.
