अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः

Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge

न शक्ष्यामि परित्यागं कर्तु जीवन्‌ कथंचन । यश्व कृत्स्नं रणे क्षत्रं विजेष्पति समागतम्‌

na śakṣyāmi parityāgaṃ kartuṃ jīvan kathaṃcana | yaś ca kṛtsnaṃ raṇe kṣatraṃ vijeṣyati samāgatam ||

ભીષ્મ બોલ્યા—“હું જીવતો હોઉં ત્યાં સુધી કોઈ રીતે પણ મારી પ્રતિજ્ઞામાર્ગનો ત્યાગ કરી શકતો નથી. અને રણમાં એકત્ર થયેલા આ સમગ્ર ક્ષત્રિયસમૂહને જે જીતશે—એ જ પરિણામ થાઓ.”
