अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
जित्वा वै क्षत्रियान् सर्वन् ब्राह्मणेषु प्रतिश्रुता । ब्राह्मण: क्षत्रियो वैश्य: शूद्रश्नेव रणे यदि
jitvā vai kṣatriyān sarvān brāhmaṇeṣu pratiśrutā | brāhmaṇaḥ kṣatriyo vaiśyaḥ śūdraś caiva raṇe yadi ||
ભીષ્મ બોલ્યા—“સર્વ ક્ષત્રિયોને જીતીને મનુષ્ય બ્રાહ્મણોની સમક્ષ કરેલી પ્રતિજ્ઞાથી બંધાય છે. કારણ કે રણમાં, પરીક્ષાની ઘડી આવે ત્યારે—તે બ્રાહ્મણ હોય, ક્ષત્રિય હોય, વૈશ્ય હોય કે શૂદ્ર હોય—વ્રતવચનનું બંધન અને કર્મનું ફળ ટળતું નથી.”
