अद्येदानीं विजानीम: सन्ति षण्ढा: सशृज्भका: । “श्रीकृष्ण! मैं देखता हूँ संसारमें अकस्मात् ही तुम्हारा महान् यश फैल गया है; परंतु अब इस समय हमें मालूम हुआ है कि जो लोग तुम्हारे पूजक हैं
adyedānīṃ vijānīmaḥ santi ṣaṇḍhāḥ saśṛjbhakāḥ |
સંજય બોલ્યો— આજે હવે જ અમને ખબર પડી: પુરુષત્વનું ચિહ્ન માત્ર ધારણ કરનારા નપુંસકો પણ છે. હે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ! હું જોઉં છું કે તારો મહાન યશ અચાનક જ જગતમાં ફેલાયો છે; પરંતુ હવે અમને જાણ થઈ કે જે લોકો પોતાને તારા પૂજક કહે છે, તેઓ વાસ્તવમાં પુરુષચિહ્નધારી હિજડાં જ છે.
