Ulūka’s Provocation and Keśava’s Counter-Message (उलूकदूत्ये केशवप्रत्युत्तरम्)
प्राच्यै: प्रतीच्यैरथ दाक्षिणात्यै- रुदीच्यकाम्बोजशकै: खशैश्न । शाल्वै: समत्स्यै: कुरुमध्यदेश्यै- म्लेच्छै: पुलिन्दैर्द्रविडान्ध्रकाउचयै:
sañjaya uvāca |
prācyaiḥ pratīcyair atha dākṣiṇātyair
udīcyakāmbojaśakaiḥ khaśaiś ca |
śālvaiḥ samatsyaiḥ kurumadhyadeśyaiḥ
mlecchaiḥ pulindair draviḍāndhrakāñcyaiḥ ||
સંજય બોલ્યો— કૌરવસેના સર્વ દિશાઓથી રક્ષિત છે—પૂર્વ, પશ્ચિમ, દક્ષિણ અને ઉત્તરનાં નરેશો દ્વારા; કામ્બોજ, શક અને ખશ દ્વારા; શાલ્વો મత్స્યો સાથે; કુરુ અને મધ્યદેશના યોદ્ધાઓ દ્વારા; તેમજ સીમાવર્તી મ્લેચ્છ-પુલિંદ અને દ્રવિડ, આંધ્ર તથા કાંચીદેશીય વીરોએ તેને ઘેરી રાખી છે.
