Gālava’s Eastern Ascent with Garuḍa; Counsel on Kāla and Upāya
atra nārāyaṇaḥ kṛṣṇo jiṣṇuś caiva narottamaḥ | badaryām āśramapade tathā brahmā ca śāśvataḥ ||
The verse underscores that dharma is anchored in sacred centers of tapas and divine presence: where Nārāyaṇa and the exemplary human (Nara/Arjuna) abide, ethical authority arises from spiritual discipline and alignment with the eternal order, not from worldly dominance.
Yuparṇa points out a revered direction/location, identifying Badarī as a holy hermitage-seat associated with Nārāyaṇa (Kṛṣṇa), Nara (paired with Nārāyaṇa in tradition), the victorious hero Jiṣṇu (Arjuna), and the eternal Brahmā—highlighting the sanctity and significance of that place.
