शोक-शमन उपदेशः
Instruction on the Pacification of Grief
यथा तु सलिलं राजन् क्रीडार्थमनुसंतरत् । उन्मज्जेच्च निमज्जेच्च किंचित् सत्त्वं नराधिप
yathā tu salilaṃ rājan krīḍārtham anusantarat | unmajjecca nimajjecca kiṃcit sattvaṃ narādhipa ||
હે રાજન! જેમ જળમાં રમવા માટે ફરતું કોઈ નાનું જીવ ક્યારેક ઉપર ઊભરે છે અને ક્યારેક નીચે ડૂબી જાય છે, તેમ જ, હે નરાધિપ, પ્રાણી પણ ક્યારેક ઉન્નતિમાં દેખાય છે અને ક્યારેક પતનમાં લીન થઈ જાય છે.
