Āśrama-dharma: Duties of the Four Life-Stages (आश्रमधर्मः)

दैवतं हि महच्छुद्धा पवित्र यजतां च यत्‌ । दैवतं हि परं विप्रा: स्वेन स्वेन परस्परम्‌

daivataṃ hi mahacchuddhā pavitra yajātāṃ ca yat | daivataṃ hi paraṃ viprāḥ svena svena parasparam ||

હે શુદ્ધજનોએ! જે મહાન અને પવિત્ર કરનાર છે, અને જેને યજન કરનારાઓ પૂજ્ય માને છે, તે જ ‘દૈવત’ છે. અને હે વિપ્રો! તમારામાંથી દરેક માટે પરસ્પર જ—પોતપોતાના રૂપે—પરમ દૈવત છે.
