Chapter 57: Constant Royal Vigilance, Primacy of Protection, and Principles of Dismissal

सहायान्‌ सतत कुर्याद्‌ राजा भूतिपुरष्कृत: । तैश्व तुल्यो भवेद्‌ भोगैश्छत्रमात्राज्याधिक:

bhīṣma uvāca | sahāyān satataṁ kuryād rājā bhūti-puraḥkṛtaḥ | taiś ca tulyo bhaved bhogaiś chatra-mātrājya-adhikaḥ ||

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—સમૃદ્ધિ ઇચ્છનાર રાજાએ સદા યોગ્ય સહાયકો નિમવા અને તેમને ઐશ્વર્ય આપી સન્માનિત કરવા. ભોગ-સુવિધામાં તે તેમના સમાન રહે; માત્ર રાજછત્ર અને આજ્ઞાધિકારમાં જ તે તેમના કરતાં વધુ રહે.
