न चाददीत वित्तानि सतां हस्तात् कदाचन । असदभ्यश्न॒ समादद्यात् सद्भधयस्तु प्रतिपादयेत्
na cādadīta vittāni satāṁ hastāt kadācana | asadbhyaś ca samādad yāt sadbhyaḥ tu pratipādayet ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—સજ્જનોના હાથમાંથી ક્યારેય ધન ન ખેંચવું. દુર્જનો પાસેથી દંડરૂપે ધન લેવું યોગ્ય છે; પરંતુ સજ્જનોને તો ધન આપવું જોઈએ—તેમનું પોષણ કરવું, તેમને હાનિ ન કરવી.
