मेघघोषै रथवरै: प्रययुस्ते नरर्षभा: । रथपर बैठे-बैठे ही उन सबने बातचीत की, और एक-दूसरेसे रात्रिके सुखपूर्वक व्यतीत होनेका कुशल-समाचार पूछा। फिर वे नरश्रेष्ठ मेघगर्जनाके समान गम्भीर घोष करनेवाले श्रेष्ठ रथोंद्वारा वहाँसे चल पड़े
vaiśampāyana uvāca | meghaghoṣai rathavaraiḥ prayayus te nararṣabhāḥ |
વૈશમ્પાયન બોલ્યા— મેઘગર્જના સમાન ગંભીર ઘોષ કરનારા શ્રેષ્ઠ રથોમાં સવાર થઈ તે નરશ્રેષ્ઠો પ્રસ્થાન કર્યા. રથ પર બેઠા બેઠા તેમણે પરસ્પર વાતચીત કરી અને એકબીજાને રાત્રિ સુખપૂર્વક વ્યતીત થઈ કે નહીં તેની કુશળવાર્તા પુછી; પછી તેઓ ત્યાંથી આગળ વધ્યા.
