Śānti Parva, Adhyāya 52 — Bhīṣma’s Humility Before Kṛṣṇa and the Granting of Boons
ततस्ते धर्मनिरता: सम्यक् तैरभिपूजिता: । श्वः समेष्याम इत्युक्त्वा यथेष्टं त्वरिता ययु:,उनके द्वारा भलीभाँति पूजित हुए वे धर्मपरायण महर्षि, 'हमलोग फिर कल सबेरे यहाँ आयाँगे” ऐसा कहकर तुरंत ही अपने-अपने अभीष्ट स्थानको चले गये
tataste dharmaniratāḥ samyak tair abhipūjitāḥ | śvaḥ sameṣyāma ity uktvā yatheṣṭaṃ tvaritā yayuḥ ||
ત્યાર પછી તેમની દ્વારા યોગ્ય રીતે પૂજિત, ધર્મનિષ્ઠ તે મહર્ષિઓએ—“અમે કાલે પ્રાતઃ ફરી અહીં આવીશું”—એવું કહી વિલંબ કર્યા વિના પોતાના-પોતાના ઇચ્છિત સ્થાને ચાલ્યા ગયા.
